So did you miss me?

I’m trying to be better about blogging regularly. I meant to post a blog before we left on our cruise but getting five people around Miami Beach and onto a cruise ship takes some doing.

Day two of Miami for us started with breakfast at Astrid and Stephanie. We love French food and come back year after year. Our server Nana was happy to help us get caffeinated and access their extensive, authentic menu. We had breakfast and ordered croissants to go so we had them for our friends when they arrived. We picked them up without a hitch except for the large number of bags mostly attributed to the dive gear. We got back and got everyone settled.

Once we got everyone settled we discovered they were missing their dive qualification cards. For those that don’t dive, these are basically driver’s licenses for divers. If you don’t have them, you don’t go because they tell the dive shop your qualification level. That ended up being a good thing because we found an absolute jewel of a dive shop. The shop is South Beach Divers. They beat the prices of the shops back home and were a great resource. We learned there are about eighty wreck dives in the area so it is definitely on our agenda from now on.

After the dive shop it was dinner time so we ended up at a walk up Cuban restaurant on Euclid and 6th in South Beach.  We had Cuban coffee and sandwiches before heading back to Astrid and Stephanie later that evening.

We ended the evening with a walk on the beach watching a storm roll in.
